The CLP is always keen to hear from enthusiastic people with good communication skills who can work thoughtfully and sensitively as Support Workers. The CLP works with each individual and their family to employ Support Workers who have qualities which match that person’s individual support needs and interests. Usually Support Workers work as part time or casual employees.
The role of Support Workers is as varied as the needs of the people whom the CLP assists and can vary from week to week subject to each person’s most pressing needs at that point in time. Willingness to make a long term commitment to supporting the person and their family is essential.
Experience is preferred but is not essential, while a positive attitude and enthusiasm are essential!
Various hours may be available that may range from passive overnight support, to morning or evening support, weekends, with a minimum of 2 hour shifts.
